It's not the drink and this beauty will grace your yard for years to come!!!
Mimosa trees have fern like foliage with silky pink and white filaments giving a feathery apperance. They produce fragrant blossoms about 2 inches in diameter.
Our Mimosas, although not always in season, are grown outdoors and organically year around. They Bloom late July though September and can grow up to 8 feet tall thriving in sun or shade. Mimosas also attracts butterfiles and humming birds and the light blossoms provide easy pick up during the fall thriving in sun or shade.
Just a suggestion: When transplanting Mimosas, the roots are delicate. Do not shake off soil around the roots. Dig your hole, slice pot down the side then place tree into hole, cover with soil (Maggie PipkinsOrganic Tree and Shrub Fertilizer works wonders) water. Do not "drown" roots. We recommend feeding the Mimosas with castings and bone meal; place the bone meal in pockets next to tree trunk and major roots at least once a year.
